How I made MySpace sad
MySpace sent me this email message today to make me feel bad about hogging some of their valuable namespace:
You have not logged into MySpace since January 1, 2007. That makes us sad!
You’re also holding a very valuable piece of MySpace real estate, which is the username/URL you chose. That makes MySpace users sad! Why? Because you’ve got a URL someone may want, and you’re not really using it!
Since it doesn’t look like you’re an active user on this account, we will be resetting your username/URL so that someone else can use it.
To prevent this from happening, simply login to MySpace before Oct 31, 2007.
NOTE: We are only resetting the URLs of inactive accounts. We will *not* delete your account. We are simply trying to free up the username/URLs for people who actually want to use them. Thanks!
To login, simply visit http://www.myspace.com

Have you ever wanted the impact of running combined with the awkwardness of a scooter?
Have you ever wished that your treadmill would actually… GO somewhere?
Don’t you wish that your running… had wheels?
Do you think that two technologies should converge, NO MATTER THE CONSEQUENCES?
Well then this is the product for you!

Radiohead released their newest album “In Rainbows” this morning, allowing their fans to pay whatever they wanted for the album which was only available via the web (at least as of this morning). I won’t get into the politics, pitfalls or potential influence their move away from record labels might have just yet. All I want to know is, “How much did you pay?”. I’m curious what people are willing to pay for DRM free music when they know the profits are being returned directly to the artist.
I paid $7 US. And you?
PS - Feel free to post anonymously if you like, and if you don’t post in US dollars can you post your currency of choice?
Today at lunch I overheard someone comment that Chipotle meals can contain enough calories for one day’s worth of eating. I though “Hog wash!” they don’t know what they are talking about. Boy was I wrong. Take a look at their nutritional info, which incidentally was not easy to find. Do they have something to hide? Maybe. I roughly estimated my typical Chipolte burrito (13″ tortilla, rice, black beans, carnitas, salsa, cheese and lettuce) at somewhere over 1000 calories. Considering that the average male diet is suggested to be about 2500 calories, that seems like a bit much, especially if the average diner also purchase chips and a drink. I’m sure that Chipotle is not the only burrito joint guilty of upping our caloric intake, but I’m happier knowing what I’m eating instead of just assuming that if I hold off on the cheese and guac I’m having a much healthier meal.
